His artistic practice is animated by the semantic and pictorial affects of images as well as their states of existence, he experiments with the different potentials of evocation and materiality of the photographic condition. Interested, among other things, in the concepts of the durability of the image, its disappearance and its unveiling, he uses the different qualities of light sometimes to reveal the subject, sometimes to dissolve it. His research leads him, among other things, to revive existing visual traces and amateur archives, to use photography as a medium, but also as a symbolic material leading to other forms of the image. Drawing on the narrative and evocative function of representations, his projects are notably the subject of a connection between personal stories and those of strangers, in order to highlight shared motifs.
Through an approach that is both conceptual and poetic of the notions that drive his artistic practice, he has recently explored the instinctive potential of creation, letting images reveal themselves rather than provoking the photographic moment. As a result, he integrates new mediums (textile, sculpture) and supports into his practice, welcoming the unpredictable material as a vector of research in the deconstruction, or even the disappearance, of the photographic medium.
From his works remain an echo of existence, traces of light; all subject to time, fragility, as well as the vibrance of relentlessness.
